The 2016-17 season of La Liga is reaching it’s final stages as it’s expected to concluded on May 21 and the battle between Real Madrid and Barcelona continues being as intense as it has traditionally been.

This is the last season of Luis Enrique in charge of Barcelona as the Spanish manager stated that he wants to take a break from coaching and maybe even from football in general.

The question that has been emerging ever since Luis Enrique made his announcement of stepping down is concerning who will be the next manager of Barcelona and one of the star players of the team has surfaced voicing his thoughts as to who he wants to take charge of the 1st team.

Neymar has stated that he would like to see Juan Carlos Unzue become the new coach of Barcelona. Unzue is currently the assistant manager of the Spanish club but Neymar believes that Unzue has what it takes to coach Barcelona and continue the dominance that they have been implementing for the recent years.

Luis Enrique took charge of Barcelona on May of 2014 and ever since then, he has led the club to 2 La Liga, 2 Copa del Rey, 1 Spanish Supercup, 1 UEFA Champions League, 1 UEFA Supercup and 1 FIFA Club World Cup.

The next manager that takes over Barcelona has to be able to guide a team which is filled with world-class players and continue adding more titles to their collection which might be a difficult thing to do considering just how quickly the Spanish team has been securing trophies.

Barcelona did say that they already have a general idea of who is capable of coaching the main team but that it will not be announced until the end of the season on May 21.

“We decided the profile of the next coach. The president has the last word. We won’t say anything until the end of season out of respect for Luis Enrique.” Barcelona announced as they hinted the possibility of already having selected the replacement of Luis Enrique.
